Many companies have gone completely remote, and had to do it quickly in light of current events, but that doesn’t mean the need to secure company data has diminished. As more workers are accessing secure files and applications from home, there is an increased need for organizations to be thinking about how to secure those devices that are accessing that information. We have already seen evidence that criminals are trying to take advantage of this situation to launch attacks against companies, and employees working from home without the security protections of the company network are targets for opportunistic attacks.

While the COVID-19 crisis is going on, we are offering our MyDNS client for free for 90 days. If necessary and warranted, we will extend this offer though we sincerely hope that it is not. No obligations, no strings, just free, effective protection using what you already have. This solution can operate on your employees’ or your devices at home and provide enterprise protection on your home networks without any additional hardware.

What this tool does is provide a light-weight DNS resolver on your laptop or home computer (Mac or Windows) that will filter malicious DNS requests by hostname, domain, or IP address.

It can be installed in minutes with these easy steps:

  1. Create a free trial account here.
  2. Verify your e-mail address and set a strong password.
  3. Log in to the portal and click “Guided Setup."
  4. Choose DNS Roaming, set the industry to Financial or Technology, then download the key and either the Mac or Windows installer.
  5. Install the appropriate client and set the key.
  6. Enable protection. You’re done.
